Dr. Ralph Carter was born and raised in Wilmington, NC. Growing up, he worked in his father’s drugstore and did construction work for his uncle’s company.

Dr. Carter completed his undergraduate degree in Zoology at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and went to med school at Wake Forest on an Air Force Scholarship.

Since completing his 13 years of active and reserve duty in the Air Force, he has been an orthopedic surgeon in Laurinburg for more than three decades.

Dr. Carter and his wife Sandra have called Laurinburg home for 35+ years. They raised their three children there.

And now Dr. Carter works to preserve North Carolina and the United States for his 10 grandchildren.
